We finally got to the point where Diffie truly had too many toys, so last night we got them all out to assess the situation. Diffie was very “helpful” during the initial sorting process, so for a while I just let her go totally crazy chomping everything; when she finally tired herself out, we sorted them for real, got rid of a bunch, and then separated the remainder into two sets. One set we put away and the other we left out for her. In about six months we’ll swap sets and it’ll be like she has a bunch of new toys!
It was SO nice out today, so we had a long walk in the park, which was more full than I’ve ever seen it. Everyone is ready for winter to be over!
When we left, Diffie did this thing she’s started recently where she stops and looks longingly over her shoulder or tries to go back. She’ll do this for the entire first block of our trip home before giving up and resigning herself to not being at the park anymore.
